Would be a fantastic book if in paperback or hard copy. Not so much as a kindle book. Hard to cite sources!

Excellent research! A wonderful personal library addition for someone serious about genealogy. This provides solid resources to those looking to prove lineages.
There are books that just bring so many important facts to life, they can not be ignored. I found the narrative to be engaging and the factual research to be exemplary. I love history and have a need to know the political and social motivation that drove the colonization of America. This was a rich resource, and a book which I was glad to add to my library.
Although this book was not quite what I was expecting, it is an interesting and a somewhat horrific read. It covers a time from the founding of Jamestown to its reasons for disbursement of the settlers to various other places. If you are interested in this time period in Virginia, you should read this short book if only to learn of events that we weren't taught in school!
